Blue Batiste Combination

Soft, pale blue batiste, front buttons, closed style, delicate lace at the drawstring neckline and waist.

This boxer short type of garment would have been worn over your corset and served also as “panties." Through the 19-teens, combinations and drawers were offered in both “closed” and “open” styles – The open style was to facilitate answering nature calls with feminine delicacy and without having to “drop your drawers.” Very practical under long skirts and multiple petticoats.

Drawers were made of soft cotton or silk and often had yards of frothy lace! We can provide these ultra-feminine “unmentionables” in tailored and lacy styles. Please call or e-mail us and describe what you would like.
